Russia’s Rolf top manager Anatoly Kairo pleads not guilty
MOSCOW, Jun 28 (PRIME) -- Anatoly Kairo, head of the business development department at car dealer Rolf, has pleaded not guilty of illegal asset stripping abroad, according to the information obtained by PRIME in the Basmanny District Court of Moscow on Friday.
“The charges have been pressed against Kairo. He pled not guilty in the incriminated crime,” an investigator told the court, asking the judge to impose house arrest as a pre-trial detention measure.
On Thursday, the Investigative Committee launched a criminal case against Rolf founder Sergei Petrov and several top managers of the company over withdrawal of money abroad using forged documents. Investigators think that Petrov withdrew 4 billion rubles from the company through selling shares of Rolf Estate company to Rolf at a significantly overcharged price.
